Adding Miracast to Windows 7 Pro desktop upgraded to Windows 10 Pro
I have installed a Net-Dyn Dual Band wireless adapter and have established connections to 2 TVs, but no Miracast. I have searched for details of the addition of Miracast in the Windows 8.1 upgrade, and have found a Miracast driver download : -https://miracastwindows10.com/miracast-driver-windows-10/.

I have checked the system requirements and obviously do not meet the requirement for an Intel wireless adapter. If I take a system backup before attempting to install the drive does this specification seem a possible solution for my problem?

2019-06-23T09:08:08+00:00 Thank you again for your reply. I followed the first link, which went through the usual checks to prove that my PC lacks Miracast. I then tried the reference: -

You may check the system requirements under the details tab.
This link failed.
Lacking further inspiration I am going to give it a rest for while. I think I am getting too old...

2019-06-22T22:14:38+00:00 Hi again Murray -
See if this discussion helps any as it explains more about what elements of the Display and wifi are required that may not be in Windows 7-era hardware:

I found a bit better guide for Miracast here since Tom's focuses more on hardware:

2019-06-22T19:43:47+00:00 I tried installing the Miracast driver mentioned - it was aborted because none of the system requirements were met - which did surprise me, since I have got the impression that if I had upgraded to Windows 8.1 before upgrading to Windows 10 Miracast would have worked after hardware or software had been added.
I found myself familiar with some of the URLs you have listed for me. I have yet to find any recommended procedure for installing the Miracast function which is missing from my system, because I installed Windows 10 pro over the top of Windows 7 Pro. If you would be able to help me based on details of my hardware and software setup, please let me know what you will require.
I should tell you that I am a retired IBM UK systems engineer, who specialised in relational database on System/38 and AS/400.

2019-06-22T16:30:24+00:00 Hi Murray. I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 9 year Windows MVP here to help you.
See here for Installing and Troubleshooting Miracast:

My experience with Miracast in Windows 10 is that usually one of the above methods will work if it is capable of using Miracast on that PC.
I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted. If you'll wait to rate whether my post helped you, I will keep working with you until it's resolved.
