WhatsApp asking me to update the app, but when I try to access the update, there is nothing to click. When checking the Microsoft play store and checking my library, WhatsApp isn't there at all. When accessing my settings from windows, WhatsApp is an app, but there is no update option. I would reinstall, but my phone screen black, despite it still being connected to the internet, so I don't want to take risk in not being able to access WhatsApp. What should I do?

If you fix your phone screen, uninstall WhatsApp from windows store.
Go to WhatsApp website and install from there, this will fix the desktop version. But you will obviously need your phone screen working first, as you will need to re-scan.
Otherwise you will have to wait for a fix on the Windows store.

This is an issue which can be replicated easily. Reset / Uninstall / Reinstall of this app doesn't work. Neither re-registering of all Store apps work. No solution in sight. Something needs to be done either at app level or server level.
