There is no downside to having the Pro Edition of Windows 10
There are a few added features in the Pro edition, which most users will never use, those will not interfere with Windows 10 is you never use them
BitLocker - used to encrypt your drives, contents
RDP, you can initiate a Remote Desktop Connection from Windows 10 pro
Device Guard - limit the applications that can be installed
Honestly, as a private user, you can use either Windows 10 Home or Pro and if you do get the Pro version, don't use any of those extra features, they are not needed in the consumer market . . .
