###  9-13-2019  ###     FIXED  SUCCESSFULLY UPDATED ADMIN SYS FROM 1803 TOO 1903 WITHOUT UNINSTALLING WORLDSHIP, After upgrading windows, had to go to start / UPS / UPS support utility ...  Admin tab and choose  "configure windows firewall for UPS database access"  Then everything worked and all nodes connected.

So, Make sure your upgraded to the latest version of Worldship (available online at UPS)  and 1903 will work.

I am having problems getting UPS Worldship to work correctly on Admin and nodes that upgrade to Win-10 1809 or 1903 builds. Not only does it not work correctly on 1809 or 1903. I have tried everything and have found only 1 working solution: If I install Worldship on a system for the first time that is current too 1809 or 1903 then it works. Even If I uninstall Worldship first , then upgrade too the newer Windows builds, I have issues reinstalling as worldship has issues then determining if the system is an Admin or Node. Any of my 9 Systems that have had Worldship on it before it rolled too 1809 or 1903 do not work.  I understand that Worldship is not quality software, their support is about equal and I have been fighting with Worldship on every build since 1703. I keep some of the best systems well maintained to minimize issues and problems as this is a crucial part of our business.

It sounds very similar to what I had to do a few months ago with 1809. This time I reach out to the UPS level 2/3 contact I was working with last time and asked her about what I had read and she confirmed that MS is working with UPS on this and she assured me she would get back to me when they find a fix. Last time I gave them (UPS level 3 several VMs to work on for about 3 weeks), the eventual fix they came up with didn't work so I ended up redoing the installs on about 10 machines in 3 different locations. Being that they never actually came up with a solution last time, I can tell you if it acts the same it had something to do with permissions as when we ran-as admin they used to work but this time I understand the MS installer actually blocks you from installing if it detects UPS Worldship?

Just did the WS 22.0.17 Upgrade and the 1903 upgrade process still fails.

This is the first I have heard of Fedex ship manager having an issue, can you please confirm if this was the case? Now that we might almost have the UPS Worldship fixed in the new update of Worldship, I would hate to go ahead with the update, just to find that now there is an issue with Fedex, also there was no issue with Fedex on the last Windows 10 update (feature build 1809).

    Thanks,

    S

I would also recommend you file a bug report; send me the short link so I can vote on it and bring it to the attention of the Windows engineers.
