Needless to say, Works 2004 is not supported on Windows 10, so there are no official solutions to your problem. You'll have to try this or try that and maybe something will work ... or maybe it won't.

You should be using a modern office suite. If you'd rather not pay $6.99 monthly to Microsoft to use Microsoft Office, there are plenty of modern, supported office suites that are free. Two examples (among many) come to mind: Google Docs, which is actually a free set of very competent office programs, and LibreOffice.

And both are also much safer than downloading old software from a third-party website. Who knows what you're really getting.

No, if you click on the link it should download fine, if not let me know.

Can you provide a screenshot of what you’re seeing?

I’ve included a screenshot of what you should see.

    It should.

Are both devices the same? Running the same version of Windows etc?

Have you tried running the program in compatibility mode?

Are you using Windows defender or a third party anti virus on your Wife’s PC?

If defender is controlled folder access off or on?

Have you tried running Microsoft works 9? It can be downloaded here:

https://www.mediafire.com/file/3eyg993n3nh208s/... File is stored on my own MediaFire account. You can either mount the .iso & run setup or burn it to a DVD/CD.
