Hello, today as usual, I go to my computer when. Everything seems fine, when out of the blue when i try to start my chrome it needs me to ask for permission. I have no such thing as ''Family mode'' or whatever it's called, this is very annoying as I can't do anything with chrome or even firefox.

Best regards, Ali Hassoun

This is Microsoft, not Google. If you want Chrome help ask Google.

Do you have overall performance issues or is this delay just happening with Edge. The reason I ask is that if it's broader than Edge then we should go over your System.

I will walk you through the fixes for Edge to try progressively until it's fixed:

Back up your Favorites first in Edge Settings > Import from another Browser > Export to a File. If it won't open you can reach Favorites to back them up to an HTML file using the tiny app Manage Edge Favorites here: http://www.emmet-gray.com/Articles/EdgeManage.html

You can reset Edge in Settings>Apps>Apps and Feature, scroll down to Microsoft Edge, highlight it, choose Advanced Options, then Repair, or if that fails, Reset.

If that doesn't help then try re-registering the app and if necessary reinstalling as shown here:

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/28655-reins...

If that doesn't help then check the System Files:

    https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-use-sfc-scannow...

I would have several other browsers available to choose from on the Task Bar since Edge is a work in progress and unreliable. I use Firefox, Edge and Chrome in that order of preference. You can import Favorites from each other easily in Settings.

Edge is being rebuilt right now on the Chrome chassis and will be reissued soon:

    https://www.windowscentral.com/faq-edge-chromium

You can test the new Edge and interact with developers with your feedback here: https://www.microsoftedgeinsider.com/en-us/?for...

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

I tried resetting chrome, nothing changed. I also tried to do it as an ''fresh download''. Still nothing changed, after that i tried your third solution didn't work either. Nor did any of your solutions, im not trying to be mean im just saying that this is bothering me because im now using Microsoft Edge, and it takes 12 seconds to open up youtube. My connection is very stable at 100+ Upload speed and 110+ download, with about 2 in ping. Which means it's not my connection.

Ali, you do not need to open Chrome to reinstall it.

Please go back to the steps I gave you and follow the one to Uninstall Chrome, restart PC then reinstall Chrome from a fresh download. Did you not see that?

Hi Ali. I'm Greg, an installation specialist, 10 year Windows MVP, and Guardian Moderator here to help you.

    Try resetting Chrome:

    https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-reset-google-ch...

If that's not enough then uninstall Chrome, restart PC, then reinstall from a fresh download:

    https://www.google.com/chrome/

If that's not enough then try changing to a local Account:

    https://www.windowscentral.com/how-troubleshoot...

If you ever had Microsoft Family Safety go into the settings to remove your account:

    http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/34763-child-...

Otherwise you're going to need to contact Google as they are not Microsoft:

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.
