Perhaps ask 'the company' to show you how to do this.

Even if you are able to succeed in creating a double-layer disc, there are few DVD players that can play a double-layer DVD.

Not to be unkind, but you are trying to work with a technology that was already on the decline 10 years ago, and didn't work reliably even in its heyday.

If you have a CD burner that can burn a dual layer CD, then you can burn a dual layer CD.

However, burning CDs is a legacy technology. Hardly anyone does that any more, and particularly dual-layer CDs, since there are few industry standards for dual layer discs. Today, people use USB flash drives, which are much less expensive and virtually effortless.

    Hi PattyWilliams2

Greetings! I am Vijay, an Independent Advisor. You can use any of the tools recommended here. Look for the word DL when you run any tool where DL means Dual Layer.

I had old movies transferred to a DVD.  The company said I would be able to make my own DVD copies.  I uploaded the movie to my HP Windows 10 computer that I just purchased 3 weeks ago.  My siblings are in their 70's and wouldn't know how to use a USB flash drive and they want to watch the dvd on their tv's.  When I tried to burn DVD's my computer said the dvd's I had didn't have enough space to burn the movie. The movie is 8.07 GB, my blank dvd's are 4.7 GB and can play up to 2 hours.  I am not sure how I'm going to be able to make DVD copies for my siblings.
