Random high ping after windows updates

I have update to the latest version of windows 10.

Already since the previous update I'm experience a lot of connectivity issues.

  1. Random high ping between my wireless access point and pc with some interrupts
  2. can't connect to my 2.4GHz network anymore

When I try this is seems to disable and re-enable my network device

I'm using a Assus PCE-AC51 wireless adapter.

Please don't respond with the obvious replies like: update drivers, reinstall the device etc. I have tried all of this.

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are facing high ping issues after Windows updates. For further clarity on the issue, please respond to the questions below.

    1. Which Windows updates were installed recently?
    2. What is the build version of Windows 10 are you using currently?
    3. What happens when you try to connect to 2.4GHz network? Do you receive any error?

To check which updates were installed recently go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows update > View installed update history

Refer the article Which version of Windows operating system am I running?

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to try resetting the network settings and see if that helps.

    1. Press Windows + S key together and type CMD.
    2. Now right click on it and select Run as administrator.
    3. Accept the UAC prompts.
    4. Type in the following commands one by one and hit enter: netsh winsock reset

    netsh int ip reset

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /renew

ipconfig /flushdns 5. Restart the PC.

You can also refer the article Fix network connection issues in Windows and see if that helps.

If the issue persist, please get back to us with the results of the troubleshooting steps to assist you further.
