Can’t hear audio while recording games or videos

When I record anything like videos or games I can't hear anything and I even made sure that everything was turned up to 50% Why dose this happen. Is my Motherboard getting old do you think?

    As you have mentioned that, the sound seems like people are whispering. Please reply with the below information to help you further:

    • Have you connected a Microphone to the computer?
    • When you are not recording the game, does the game audio work fine?
    • What is the audio quality that you are using? To check go to Settings >> Gaming >> Broadcasting.

    We will need some more information to help you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps. Please reply with the following details:

    • How are you recording the games or videos?
    • When you say, “I can't hear anything” you are unable to get the in-game audio or your voice?
    • What is the make and model of the computer?
    • Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? To check type: winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit Enter.

    If you are using Game bar to record the games or videos, I suggest you to refer the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows key + I to open Settings.
    2. Click on Gaming.
    3. Click on Capture on the left pane.
    4. Clear the check box for Record gaming audio only.
    5. Follow the same steps for Broadcasting.

    It is still not working the sound sounds like as if people are whispering oh please help me with this

    Apologies for the delayed response.

    Have you tried changing the settings that I mentioned in my previous reply?

    You can try changing the settings when the Game Bar is launched. Please follow the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows key + G to launch Game Bar.
    2. Click on Settings (Gear icon).
    3. Click on Capturing.
    4. Under Recording select the check box for Record in the background while I’m playing a game.
    5. Under Audio to Record select the Radio button for Game. (If you are still unable to get Audio select the Radio button for to All).

    Model:               Z170-E PC

    Build Number:   17763.615

    Problem:            I am unable to hear the in-game while using the broadcast and capture from Xbox. I even started to use it by pressing Win+G on my keyboard and I use it and then I recorded a video but I still never heard anything even if everything was at 50 percent. why?
