If BIOS is corrupt you may have bigger problems. Best to take it to a professional.
As far as hardware I mean the keyboard may have to be replaced.
You can try going into safe mode to see if those keys work.
Is the laptop under warranty?

Hey Greg,
Wow you gave me a bunch of great information and steps to try out. I will start on them and then let you no how it goes. I did go into the first few steps with the keyboard but nothing worked then went into command prompt/admin and did the SFC /SCANNOW and it says i have corrupt files it can't fix. Then tried the cleanup-image / restorehealth and it didn't work and then i don't understand this command except for it dealing with my C: drive but this was the command CHKDSK C: /F /R /V and it couldn't reconize it. But after i do some of your steps i will message back. Thank you so much
I seen that i could maybe fix the issue through the BIOS so i tried to enter it and got a white screen saying that the bios is corrupt or missing and gave a code 501. My wifi button went away a few months ago so i can only use it if I'm hooked up to the ethernet cord. Your saying the shift and control key are hardware also? As in i may need a new hard drive them it should hopefully work better?
Hi MA. I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 10 year Windows MVP here to help you.
If this was caused by a Version Update then for 10 days you can roll it back in Settings>Update & Security>Recovery and then hide it until it matures using the Hide Updates Tool which is explained more here:
https://www.howtogeek.com/223864/how-to-uninstall-and-block-updates-and-drivers-on-windows-10/.
If this was caused by Windows Update(s) then you can check which were installed at Settings>Update & Security>Windows Update under Update History, then uninstall them from the link there, and immediately hide with the Hide Updates tool downloaded from here: http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/2/2/f2...
You can also use System Restore to get before the problem began, then check for Updates with the Hide Update tool and hide them: http://home.bt.com/tech-gadgets/computing/how-t...
What do you mean the BIOS is gone? How is it missing?
KEYBOARD --------------------------------------------
I will give you everything possible for keyboard problems. If you need help with any steps I'll be standing by here to help you.
Try the Keyboard Troubleshooter at Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
If this began within the recent past, See if you can System Restore to a point before the problem began: http://home.bt.com/tech-gadgets/computing/how-to-fix-windows-10-problems-with-system-restore-11364008291943
What also might work is to go into Device Manager, reached by right clicking the Start button, choose the Keyboard device, on Driver tab try Updating the driver automatically.
If this fails from the same location try rolling back or Uninstalling the Keyboard driver, which works in a surprising number of cases where keyboard is messed up by Updates. Restart PC to reinstall driver.
See if the keyboard will work in Safe Mode with Networking, or Safe Mode: https://www.digitalcitizen.life/4-ways-boot-safe-mode-windows-10
If not see if the On-screen Keyboard works at Settings > Ease of Access > Keyboard > Turn On the On Screen Keyboard.
If so then it could confirm the keyboard is failing, so test it in repair mode to see if it works since it uses different drivers there: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2294-advanced-startup-options-boot-windows-10-a.html
If not you can contact a laptop manufacturer to see if you can still get it replaced under warranty, or check for replacement keyboards for that model from the PC maker or online from after-market OEM's that exactly match it.
Try resetting the keyboard: http://www.thewindowsclub.com/reset-keyboard-settings-default-windows
You can also remap keyboard keys using one of these methods: https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/missing-key-remap-fix-keyboard-layout/
Check in your BIOS or UEFI firmware Setup for keyboard settings there, too.
If it's a hardware problem then you can often easily replace a keyboard by asking Google for a replacement for your full model number laptop, confirm with seller it fits that unit, locate a video or tutorial the same way which demonstates swapping it in.
WIFI ----------------------------
I'll give you everything possible to try in order of priority so that hopefully something works. If you need help performing any steps I'll be standing by here to guide you:
Enable IPv6 in the network adapter settings: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/90033-enable-disable-ipv6-windows.html
Run the fixit from https://support.microsoft.com/help/929852 (Re-enable IPv6 on all nontunnel interfaces) and reboot.
Right click the network icon in System Tray at bottom right end of task bar to Troubleshoot Problems.
Try all of these steps: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/10741/windows-10-fix-network-connection-issues
https://www.kapilarya.com/how-to-reset-network-settings-to-default-in-windows-10
Update your network adapter drivers from the PC maker's Support Downloads web page using the full model number, HP Serial Number or Dell Service Tag on sticker. Compare the latest drivers available for download with the ones presently installed in Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start Menu. Make sure you have the latest BIOS or UEFI firmware, Chipset, Display (Video), Sound, USB3, Bluetooth, Network and all other drivers, or else download and install the latest now.
If you have the latest network driver then try on it's Driver tab also to Roll Back, or Uninstall and then restart PC to reinstall the driver. Try also all older drivers from Update Driver > Browse > Let Me Pick list working backwards.
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > WIfi > Manage Known Networks, highlight and remove the network having problems, restart PC to see if it shows up again.
Try plugging in by ethernet cable to the router to compare, then plug the ethernet cable into the modem (if separate) to see if this might be an issue with the router.
Try powering off modem, router and PC and then restarting in that order with 1 minute in between each. You may need to reset your router or even optimize it following these steps:
https://www.lifewire.com/resetting-a-home-network-router-818061
http://www.maximumpc.com/article/features/ultimate_router_guide_optimizing_security_and_performance
You also are entitled to Support from your internet provider to get online on all devices. This is always included in the monthly bill. If your router is less than a year old they will also Support getting it connected and optimized.
Another option is you could replace the wireless adapter with an inexpensive USB nano adapter like this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B011T5IF06/ref=psdc_13983791_t2_B06XSFPDFX
You can also add an extender. The best one I've found is $17 at Amazon, configures itself, and so good I'd never use any other: https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Extender-External-Antennas-TL-WA855RE/dp/B0195Y0A42/ref=zg_bs_3015439011_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=Z4RSPX5MKEE88V62CSS1#customerReviews

If none of these works then go over this checklist to make sure the install is set up correctly, optimized for best performance, and any needed repairs get done: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki/windows_10-performance/windows-10-performance-and-install-integrity/75529fd4-fac7-4653-893a-dd8cd4b4db00
Start with Step 4 to turn off Startup freeloaders which can conflict and cause issues, then Step 7 to check for infection the most thorough way, then step 10 to check for damaged System Files. Then continue with the other steps to go over your install most thoroughly.
Update your drivers and BIOS/UEFI firmware from PC or motherboard maker's Support Downloads web page, using the full model number, Serial Number or Dell Service Tag on sticker.
Updating drivers from the Device Manager or Windows Update is rarely enough. The most basic thing we need to learn to maintain a PC is keep the latest manufacturer's drivers installed from their Support Downloads web page.
Another thing that might help as it solves many problems is to Upgrade to the latest version by installing the Media Creation Tool from this link http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install choosing Download Tool Now, install the tool, open it and choose Upgrade this PC Now. This will save your files and apps while bringing you up to the latest version by the most stable method. It will also bring all of your Updates current and solve most problems since it reinstalls Windows.
I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted. If you'll wait to rate whether my post helped you, I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

Hi My-Ammies,
The buttons not working may be a hardware problem that we won't be able to solve. Same about Wifi Button. if you press the button and it does not work, it is most likely a hardware issue.
Can you provide more info about "BIOS is gone"?
Hope this helps.
