Dos Cmd window pops up periodically

A Dos command window pops up periodically with the following in it.

FINDSTR: Cannot open c:\ProgramData\acer\updater2\updater2.xml

The system cannot find the path specified.

Cannot access file C:\Program Files\DriverSetupUtility\FUB+

FINDSTR: Cannot open c:\ProgramData\packard bell\updater2\updater2.xml

The system cannot find the path specified.

Cannot access file C:\Program Files\DriverSetupUtility\FUB+

FINDSTR: Cannot open c:\ProgramData\gateway\updater2\updater2.xml

The system cannot find the path specified.

Cannot access file C:\Program Files\DriverSetupUtility\FUB+

FINDSTR: Cannot open c:\ProgramData\founder\updater2\updater2.xml

The system cannot find the path specified.

Cannot access file C:\Program Files\DriverSetupUtility\FUB+

This has been happening since the last update from Windows.

    Hello Ahnog,

    you can see this error because a program is trying to access a file which cannot be found.

    The software is looking for the file updater2.xml in various locations.

    Maybe the folder path is not correct anymore and so the file cannot be found.

    It seems as the Program "DriverSetupUtility" does have the Problem - This software is a tool for setting up the hardware drivers and keep them up to date. (Acer / Packard Bell "Care Center").

    Maybe you can try to reinstall or repair the software and this window should not show again. If you're an experienced user you also can uninstall the software - but in this case you should to check for updates yourselve.
