Anyone know how to turn off the Insert key?

For some reason, in certain apps the Insert key is permanently turned on. From my experience it does not appear to be permanently turned on in Chrome and Spotify, but it does in Microsoft Office, Notepad, Settings, Windows Explorer, and Wordpad. Basically the text cursor is always a highlight key instead of the line like it's supposed to be and it really bugs me.

On my computer the Insert key is shared with the Del. key. I've tried every combination under the sun (e.g. Ins + Shift, Ins + Alt, Ins + Ctrl) but nothing seems to turn it off. I'm thinking I must've turned this feature on by accident while messing around in the Keyboard or Typing Settings, but I can't seem to revert it to the way it was.

I am using Windows 10 on an Acer Nitro 5. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
