Sub-folders in ransomware protection

I want to add a folder with sub-folders in it to be protected with Windows 10 ransomware protection.

Is enough to add the root folder in ransomware protected folder options in order that all of its subfolders are also protected? Or do I have to add each sub-folder individually?

    Hi. Percu1

    My Name is David B.

In this case, if you click on protected folders under the activated button in the previous menu, you will see the list of folders (and their subpath) that are currently being protected by Windows Defender.

By clicking on the + button to add a protected folder you can select any folder on your disk or storage discs. Of course, you must do it one by one, unfortunately, since if you add for example:

C: / User / XXXXX / documents / will only protect that folder but not what is inside although it seems somewhat illogical, since within that folder there are several subfolders.

    Regards...
