Hello DragonFire3,
I am Matt, an Independent Adviser and a specialist technician. I would like to assist you with this and hopefully I can help you to resolve this issue promptly.
You could try following the information here to convert the microsoft account to a local account which should resolve your info. As it would be a lot to type please refer to the following link as it covers this topic really well https://www.isumsoft.com/windows-10/how-to-remo...
If the above is not working the fastest solution would be to create a new local account for your friend on windows 10, it will need to be an administrator account and then remove the account that has your microsoft account linked.
Firstly to sign out of a microsoft account (just incase you are doing it another way follow these steps)
- Click the Start button, and then click Settings.
- Click Accounts, scroll down, and then click the Microsoft account you would like to delete.
- Click Remove, and then click Yes.
- Reboot the computer..
If that does not work for you then create a new local account using the following steps.
- Press the Windows key + R.
- Type netplwiz, and then click OK.
- Click Add.
- Click Sign in without a Microsoft account (not recommended).
- Click Local account, type a username, and a password (if you'd like one).
- Click Next, and then click Finish.
- Login with the new account and use that to remove the original account.
Problem solved... hopefully. :)
