    Hi Paul

I am Vijay, an Independent Advisor.

    Download latest driver from https://resources.kodakalaris.com/docimaging/dr...

Uninstall and reinstall the Scanner (Credit to Andre Da Costa, MVP for providing steps)

    A. Uninstall Scanner

Click on Windows Key+X > Apps and Features > Scroll down and click Programs and Features > Select your Scanner > Select Uninstall

Type Scanner in Cortana Search box > Scanners & Scanners > Select your Scanner > Remove device

Type Scanner in Cortana Search box > Click Scanners & Scanners > Scroll down and click Print server properties under Related settings > Under Driver tab, look for your Scanner > Select it and click Remove button at the bottom

    B. Install Scanner

Reinstall the Scanner driver > Reboot the computer

Type Scanner in Cortana Search box > Click Scanners & Scanners > On Right side, Click Add a Scanner or scanner > If Windows detects your Scanner, it will be listed > Select the Scanner and follow on screen directions to set it up (In case of Wifi Scanner, your computer should also be logged into Wifi network)

If Windows doesn't detect your Scanner, then you will get a blue message - Click The Scanner that I want isn't listed

If you are using Bluetooth / Wirelss Scanner > Select Add a Bluetooth, wireless or network discoverable Scanner > Choose the Scanner > Select your Scanner and follow on screen directions

If you are using wired Scanner > Select Add a local Scanner or network Scanner with manual settings > Select Use an existing port > Select your Scanner and follow on screen directions

With the Kodak i2400 scanner one must install the Drivers First before even connecting the scanner via USB.

( You may have to Uninstall the Driver / Software if you have connect the Scanner first and then installed the Driver / software ).

    • Install the correct Driver / Software First for your operating system.
    • With the scanner OFF now connect the Power Cable to the scanner and the USB Cable between the scanner and the computer.
    • Momentarily press the toggle button on the back of the scanner to turn it on.
    • The LED Start Button on the front will flash as it goes through a series of self tests.
    • Please wait until this is finished.
    • Once this is finished the Start Button should stop flashing and stay Green.
    • Do a restart and now see if it is recognized.

What OS build are you on?  Hit the Windows key, type winver, hit Enter.

    Or Windows key+r, winver, OK

    .

Did you look in Device Manager to see if it was activated?  There might be the need for a driver upgrade.
