Not permissions in WindowsApps from Game Pass Pc

Hi!

I'm having some problems when trying to modify any file from the "WindowsApps" folder which contains all the game installed from the Xbox PC app. When I try to edit any config file or copy any file into the folder, I either get a "Not permission" error or a "Not enought space" error.

Things I tried:

  • Changed the owner of the WindowsApps folder --> It changed the owner, but the owner of the children folders didn't.
  • Full control for Users and administrator --> I changed the permission for all children folders, but still didn't work.
  • Disabled the only read checkbox --> It keep reverting to Only read.

Any solution for this?

Oh forget this, I've been on every thread and forum on the internet trying to find out how to access the files on my own computer.

    I AM THE ADMINISTRATOR!!!

Overly petty restrictions like this only serve to encourage piracy.

This is unacceptable. Microsoft should not be placing Permissions restrictions on files that supersede any and all Administrator permissions that we can set. This is terrible customer service.

Makes it impossible to install translations in other languages, which does not happen on other platforms such as Steam, Epic and Origin. Shame on you, Microsoft ...

Same here. This is abusive. I would appreciate if you guys wouldn't messed up with my computer.

I noticed this today because my game wouldn't start anymore with an unknown error, and I couldnt try to see if something was wrong in the folder..

This is massively putting me off using this service.
