I managed to fix this after installing the https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/windows-fix-problems-that-block-programs-being-installed-or-removed application, this helped me remove the hidden visual c++ items to help me re-install the 2019 version ultimately fixing my problem.
vc_runtimeMinimum_x64.msi error
This
is my first post on here so please don't mind if the format isn't right or if I posted it in the wrong area, I genuinely don't know what to do because this has left me scratching my head for a while now. I got this error whilst trying to install a game, I
thought it would be an easy fix so I just googled 'error finding vc_runtimeMinimum_x64.msi' The post: https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/Windowsdesktop/en-US/6753101a-ee61-45af-9561-10c7ae7ba45c/error-finding-vcruntimeminimumx64msi
told the person requesting help to install visual c++ Redistributable
So I followed their advice but got this error:
the only version of this installed is Microsoft visual c++ 2017 so I tried to uninstall that and it said successful but it remained there. However, there is a 2015-2019 version that keeps appearing and disappearing which I can uninstall and it disappears but then I try to download the 2015 redistributable x64 thing again and it's saying it's still installed, I'm assuming it's talking about the 2017 version which I can't uninstall. I'm sorry if it's vague, it has me really confused and its the best way i could explain it but if I could get a fix I'd really appreciate it.
PS Repairing the 2017 version doesn't work because it claims another installation is already in progress???

2019-10-28T16:43:09+00:00 Once done you can download and install this one from Microsoft.com. You want the Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019 that matches your Windows version (x64 or x86)

2019-10-28T16:07:20+00:00 Hello Karixma, I am Andrew an independent advisor. I want to try to help with this problem.
Can you go to you App in Settings, try again to remove all Visual C++ versions, reboot after each one.
Move on to Windows Update after that and manually search for updates.

After those are done installing reboot your computer and search Windows Update again as there may be updates for Visual Studio.
I hope this helps get your issue sorted out, if not we're still here
Kind Regards,
Andrew

2019-10-29T12:34:26+00:00 Hey good morning, to manually search for updates go in to the Update & Security through Settings (press winkey + i ). In the Update tab theres a button to search for updates.
