This SD Card. what did you use to copy files onto it.

Source you plugged it into and copied these files to SD Card.

    8MB should take 5 seconds.

Some files might be protected on the SD card.

During the transfer, that would end the transfer if this was the case.

And your comment of why would someone go through all that trouble copying to C & then E-HDD. You mean a whole 15 seconds to do the complete process??

And no, that is not the case that if the files would copy to C:\ than they would copy to E-HDD

    Not True.

Many reasons on the E-HDD can cause this

Improper format or damaged file structure

improper Ownership & permissions on E-HDD

    Encrypted drive

    OR

Files on SD Card are file protected or encrypted

    Is there any error message?

Is the SD card & destination drive fully inserted?

How full is the backup drive?

How large is the file being transferred?

Are you transferring one or more files at the same time?

Did you Format the HDD Quick NTFS, assign a drive letter & restart the PC first ???

Then, did you try copying the SD Card files to a folder on C:\ and then copy to the other HDD ???
