Windows 8.1 activation

Firstly, i have aqired the windows 8.1 boot disc that came with my pc specialist laptop upon purchase (image attached), again i cannot create the media as i do not have a working pc.Also could you please tell me how to perform a clean install

I cannot do either of these options as my laptop will not turn on, upon powering up i immediately asks for an activation key

There are no products keys here to give away.

IF Windows 8.1 was what was originally preinstalled on your laptop:

With Windows 8/8.1 The Product Key on preinstalled Operating Systems (HP, Acer, etc) is embedded in the BIOS in the Motherboard, so that the lost and/or worn C.O.A. Sticker problem is no more.

When you reinstall it will pick up the Product Key and activate the system automatically.

Follow these steps and do a Phone Activation and hold on for a real person to assist you.

OPTION TWO

To Activate Windows 8.1 by Phone

1. Do step 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 below for what you would like or able to do.

2. Press the Windows + R to open the Rusluisn dialog, type slui.exe 4, press Enter, and go to step 7 below.

3. Open an elevated command prompt, type slui.exe 4, press Enter, and go to step 7 below.

4. Open the Power Users Tasks menu, click/tap on System, and go to step 5A below.

5. Open the Control Panel (icons view), and click/tap on the System icon.

A) Click/tap on Activate Windows at the bottom right corner under Windows activation, and go to step 7 below. (see screenshot below)

6. Open PC settings, click/tap on Activate Windows on the left side.

You still have not said how you acquired the Windows 8.1 in the first place.

IF you have a legal Windows 8.1 do a clean install either using your 8.1 disk, or use the method to download below, and use a Generic Key to install, then find the correct key and change it to that.

Language. English – en-us if you're in the United States.

Make sure that you read Section 4 about using generic keys

If you have a retail Windows 8 product key and want to clean install Windows 8.1or Windows 8.1 Update, then you would need to enter a generic key below to install unactivated with, and change the product key later on instep 22 below to activate with your Windows 8 key.

If you have a retail Windows 8.1 product key and want to clean install Windows 8.1or Windows 8.1 Update, then you are good.

If you have an OEM Windows 8product key and want to clean install W indows 8.1 or Windows 8.1 Update, then you would need to enter a generic key below to install unactivated with, and change the product key later on instep 22 below to activate with your OEM Windows 8 COA product key.

If you want to clean installWindows 8 Enterprise*,W indows 8.1 Enterprise, or W indows 8.1 Update Enterprise, then you would need to change the product key later on instep 22 below to activate since Enterprise editions do not ask to enter a key at this step.*
