Hi,

I am having an issue with my projector, I have been using my projector and leptop set up perfectly for sometime now but yesturdy I had an issue where there was sound coming from both the projector and the laptop (Even tough I had selected the projector in the sound options as a default). I tried many many fixes which involved updating drivers to no avail and so I uninstalled the drivers for everything. I have got the driver back for the laptop, however, there appears to be no driver for my projector anymore.

I have an epson projector, I have been on their website and they dont have ny audio drivers that I can see, I have also downloaded a HDMI audio driver but that doesnt recognis the HDMI when it is plugged in.

Can anyone help me out? I have been at this for 6 hours trying to find a solution to what seemed to be a simple problem!

Thanks in advance!

    Hi CalumBurns,

First things first, if your HDMI device is not set as the default device, the HDMI output is unavailable.

Here’s how you can set the HDMI device as the Default Device:

Right-click on the volume icon on the task bar.

Select ‘Playback devices’ > in the newly open Playback tab,

simply select Digital Output Device or HDMI.fix HDMI issues playback devices

Select ‘Set Default’ > click OK.

Now, the HDMI sound output is set as default.

Also, make sure that the ‘Show disconnected devices’ option is enabled,

so that your PC can display all the devices connected to it.

    Hope these steps help.

Your feedback is very much appreciated.

    Thanks and regards,

    Hi CalumBurns1,

    Can you try this one?

    Go to device manager

-Find sound, video & game controllers

-Right-click Audio device associated with your computer

    -Update Driver

    -Search Automatically

I'll be waiting for your feedback

Thanks and have a good day!
