Hi I bought a new laptop lately and I wanted to play GTA San Andreas. I bought the game in the microsoft store and tried to launch it. The game opens for a couple of seconds and then just shuts down. I tried to reset the game in the settings but this did not work.

Did you fully download and install the game? Check in the APPS menu from the Settings window by pressing Win key + i
If you see it in there uninstall the game. Restart your computer.
After this go back to the Store and go through your library, the game will be available to redownload as you own it.
Download, reinstall, then go through the steps we did earlier to run in Compatible Mode.
Some install files may have been corrupted when installing or trying to open. It happens rarely but an option.
Let me know how it goes :)

Hello Gijsalbert, Im Andrew a Windows Expert.
GTA San Andreas is a older game that is probably optimized for Windows XP given its 2004 release date. With Windows 10 you can run older programs in Compatibility Mode. To accomplish this please right click on the file for the game and click Properties.
From there click the Compatibility tab at the top.
Theres a drop down menu full of old Windows versions, you want Windows XP SP3.
Hit ok and try running the game again.
If it still doesnt work follow the same steps and run the Compatibility Troubleshooter and if still not working get back to us and we'll keep troubleshooting.
Enjoy your new game
Andrew
