    Hi,

    The XLM files are Excel Macro files and can be run in Microsoft Excel. You can refer the article on Working with Excel 4.0 macros and refer the steps to open XLM files in Excel.

    However, by any chance if you are trying to open XML files, you can download the XML Notepad 2007, which provides a simple user interface for browsing and editing XML documents. You can download XML notepad from, https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=7973

    However, as XLM documents come under Excel Macros, if you face any issues with Excel Macros, we do have a dedicated forum concerning issues with Excel.
