I understand that you are facing issues with saving scanned documents in the destination folder. It is very unusual that you are seeing permission issues while saving the scanned files. We will certainly assist you with this issue.
For better clarity on the setup, please let us know:
- What is the make and model of your scanner?
- Are you aware of any changes made recently, such as Windows Updates on your system?
- What is the version and build of Windows that is installed currently?
To check the build, press Windows key + R to open Run window and type winver. Click OK
Meanwhile, we can try few steps and check if it helps.
Make sure your Windows is up to date.
Method 1: Check Permissions to the folder.
In File Explorer, Right click on the destination folder, where you save the scanned documents.
· Click on Properties and then click on Security tab.
· Click Advanced. Next to Owner label click on Change button, type Everyone.
· Click Check Names and press Enter.
· Check Replace owner on subcontainers and objects and click OK.
· Now **** you are back to the Securitytab, click on Edit button type Everyone, click Check Names and press Enter.
· Select Full control and click OK.
· Press Apply and OK to save the changes.
· R estart the computer and check if you are able to save the scanned documents.
Method 2: Remove and Re-add the scanner.
· Select Start > Settings >Devices>Printers & scanners
· Click on the scanner and select Remove.
· Select Add a printer or scanner.Wait for it to find nearby scanners, then choose the one you want to use and select Add device.
· Try running a scan and check.
If issue persists, we can try and check in a new user account.
