heya, my shortcut keys such as volume and the like on the laptop keyboard I have aren't working... any help?

Are those shortcut keys on your Function (F1 - F12) keys?
If so, if you press the key on its own, or press Fn + the key does it work?
Go to the support page for your laptop on the ASUS website, on that downloads page, look for an app named ATK, download and install that app, it controls your function keys . . .
