What are the requirements for Nearby Sharing?

My desktop computer has no Bluetooth but is connected to my WiFi router via an Ethernet cable. Why doesn't Nearby Sharing appear in settings?

    Hello ellaryk, 

    Nearby Sharing lets you instantly share your videos, photos, documents, and websites with people and devices near you over Bluetooth (4.0 or later) or Wi-Fi, but not over Ethernet.

    Nearby Sharing only works with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, not with Ethernet connection.
