That can happen from a broken or bent pin in the connection. Pull the cable. Both ends. Examine the pins. Try replacing the cable
My screen is green where it should be black.
My screen is green where it should be black. I have disconnected and reconnected everything I have shut down and restarted my computer and yet my screen is still green. I also unplugged my monitor and plugged it into another computer and still had the same problem please help I have looked on other questions and they did not help me.

Try boot into safemode and see if problem persist.
It might be hardware issue.
