Windows Folders Appearing On Secondary Drive - How To Move?

Hi all,

For the past few months, on my second SSD drive I use for installing games, I have noticed several Windows folders appearing:

Inside the folder called 'Program Files' is a folder called 'ModifiableWindowsApps'.

I assume this has something to do with the MS Store, I want to know if I can move these folders back to the C drive?

Thanks

    Hi Sunhawk

Those folders are for holding the Microsoft Store Apps and Games, did you ever choose to move that location?

Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Menu)

    Go to System - Storage

Then click 'Choose where new content is saved'

Is that set to your E Drive

    Hi SunHawk

The best and quickest way to resolve this, would be to move any other data you need to keep from your E drive onto another rive temporarily, then format E and move that data back. Because Windows 10 will fight you all the way when you try to delete that WindowsApps folder . . .

hmmm I understand what you're saying but it's not really an option with the amount of stuff I have installed on that drive.

Even if I did I would imagine Windows would start using the drive again after the format.

Would not uninstalling the store and re-installing solve this issue?
