Hi Keo. I'm Greg, an installation specialist, 10 year Windows MVP, and Volunteer Moderator here to help you.

You should have been able to set up your MS Account during a new PC's Setup phase.

If not go into Windows Settings > Accounts > Your Info and choose the link to Sign in with a Local Account instead, give it your name (its temporary), then after it converts restart the PC.

Go back to the same place where the link will now read "Sign in with a MS Account instead" and put in your desired MS account.

If it's already a Local Account then you can just change to MS Account directly from that link.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted. If you will wait to choose if I solved your problem, I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

    Hi Greg-

I appreciate the insight here- In my case I purposely set up a second Microsoft account when setting up my New PC because someone said it was better from a security perspective to set up an Admin account that no one used except when installing programs and to set up the old (original) account as a user in the new PC.  I am now regretting that I did this because my Old Office 2013 licenses and other things that are tied to my original profile are not available for the new PC In general I am confused on how to best set this up for both the security of the account/pc as well as ease of use from an administrative perspective with multiple users using the same device(s)

Should I forget Office 2013 and migrate everything to the new Microsoft Account I created? Or should I delete the new profile, try to reset the new computer and do it all again?

    Thanks

    Mike
