My Norton 360 is showing activity from C:\WindowsApps\microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps 8wekyb3d8bbwe\HxTsr.exe including allowing these apps to access my computer. I have searched and can not find any real information on what these apps are or if its legitimate. Is it safe or should I block this? Thank You

Hello! My name is Marco, I am an Independent Advisor. I will do my best to help you :)

The genuine HxTsr.exe file is a software component of Microsoft Office 2013 by Microsoft Corporation.

"HxTsr.exe" is a Microsoft compressed executable file called "Microsoft Outlook Communications." It establishes and maintains contact between the Outlook 2013 or 2016 app from the Windows Store on the user's computer and Microsoft's Outlook.com, Outlook.office365.com, or Exchange e-mail and calendar websites.

HxTsr.exe is not essential for Windows and will often cause problems. HxTsr.exe is located in a subfolder of "C:\Program Files"—e.g. C:\Program

So there are no problem to uninstall it

-uninstall Microsoft Office or Mail and Calendar from your computer using the Control Panel applet Uninstall a Program

Then, install again " Mail and Calendar ". It's on the Microsoft site, so secure.
