Your Phone Companion App On Android ~ How to get it to launch!
So riddle me this,
I go to my main windows 10 pro (Skip-ahead) machine and try to link my phone. I get the "we have sent a message to your phone, use the link to download and login with your Microsoft Account" ....And Nothing! A fairly common problem from research.
NEXT, I decided I'm just going to install the app from the Play Store, done...but I can't open the app....very strange decision to make when I was prompted to "open the app and sign in" But there is no option to do so, so I thought I'll just get an activity launcher and dig into the app. However, we are talking about security here so I want to do it the 'right' way.
Now Ironically I'm reinstalling windows 10 Home on another machine of mine. Now through the install process, the phone linking apps along with the launcher etcetera are offered by sending me a message. IT WORKS! The links that were sent launched "Your Phone Companion" and I was able to link my phone with my computer.
So...not to point out an obvious flaw, but either this process should be shipped entirely to a web browser due to security, or you need to verify the text is getting sent to the right location during the process. Because the installer knew my phone number but asked if it was right and was willing to send it to any number thus the same process should be done after Windows is installed.
ALSO: Both the beta and public Android app releases do not offer an open button and I did this using the beta version of the app.

There are issues with this particular app. Use Feedback in the app on both PC and Phone to ensure software/developers are aware of the issue you're experiencing.
