Problem to connect to hotel wifi

I have been having problems with public wifi on my laptop running windows 10. If I try to connect to some wifi (ususally in hotels requiring a login/password) browser opens msftconnecttest/redirect but fails to connect. I tried to switched off all firewalls and antivirus programs, used different browsers (Chrome, Opera, Edge), searched for answer on internet and tried many things, but nothing helped. These days I am on business trip in another country and again face the same serious problem. I have Win 10 Pro, version 1903, build 18362.476.

Thanks, I disabled NCSI both active and passive probes using Group Policy, but it did not help. Browser did not try to open msftconnecttest site what was OK, but site to entry wifi login and password internet connection was not opened and I am still not able to connect to hotel wifi. Any other idea?

    Hi JaroKat,

Make sure the PC's wireless network card is set to automatically get the ip address, manually reset Google's public DNS, then select the checkbox: validate settings on exit, press OK and close. Return to the properties of the network card and check if the changes have been saved. Also, go to Internet Options> Connection> LAN Settings, make sure the Proxy Server is disabled. Keep the other checkboxes unchecked as well. If you use third-party firewall / antivirus, try to uninstall it temporarily.

If you do not resolve, try contacting the hotel manager, there may be some restrictive settings on their router.
