Maybe if you re-install the software from the beginning ... otherwise you can try to contact the manifacturer of your portable hard drive. Probably a bug of the software and not of Windows.
Toshiba external HDD Backup Software does not run
Recently bought a Toshiba Canvio Advance, installed the Security Software which formatted the HDD as expected. Afterwards I installed the Backup Software, however when I run it, after selecting the HDD, the Backup program disappears, not allowing to select the Backup features I want and so making impossible to use this functionality of the external HDD.
Does anyone know how to solve this issue?
Maybe is the antivirus, I have installed MalwareBytes premium, if so, I don't know how to configure it to allow the Backup Software to run.

did you try to run it in administrator mode? right click on your software icon and "run as administrator, see what it does
