Is the following configuration possible:

  • one laptop
  • two external monitors each connected with a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter
  • desktop extended across all three displays (laptop screen, monitor 1, monitor 2)

Thanks!

I appreciate the help. Im still not certain it will work.

we just bought a desk for our home office. I have two new dell U2419H monitors. I also have a dell latitude laptop 3500 series.

I would like to be able to connect to both screens wirelessly but be able to view different things on each. Pretty sure this is called extended view

I dont want a ton of cables running in front of desk

will a microsoft wireless adapter do this or is there something else that I can buy to make this happen?

    thanks again for your help

Yes, it would be extended View so you can move items to any monitor and they should learn where to reopen for you.  You can also adjust the Screen resolutions separately to match them better using this method:  How To Set Different Resolutions For Multiple Monitors In Windows 10 .

You should be able to get the MS Wireless Display adapter to work by connecting it as I showed. If necessary use the free Support that comes with any hardware item for the first year to get it set up.

It would cost less and might be more stable to use HDMI cables as shown in the first tutorials. I have a dual monitor setup on my home office desk and don't even see the cables.
