    Hi Ganesha,

    Thank you for replying.

I understand that you have a digital license linked to your Microsoft account, and as you are unable to activate Windows on your computer with the same Microsoft account, I would suggest you to get in touch with the Activation team and they will help you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps.

    Regards,

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you receive an error code 0x80004005, after upgrading from Windows 10 1803 to 1909. I’ll help you with this issue.

    However, please let us know:

    • Did Windows 10 come pre-installed on the computer?
    • Were you using a Microsoft account to sign in to the computer earlier?
    • Was there any hardware changes made on the computer prior to this issue?

I would suggest you to try running the activation troubleshooter and see if that helps. Refer the steps mentioned in the article Using the Activation troubleshooter.

If you have a product key, try using it to activate Windows. Refer the section Activate using a product key from the article Activate Windows 10.

For more information, see Get help with Windows activation errors.

If you still face issues, do not worry, you can get in touch with our Activation team and they will help you with the issue. Please refer the article Global Customer Service phone numbers to get the Customer support number as per your country.

    Regards,

    Nikhar Khare

    Hi,

Thank you for sharing the details.

As you have mentioned that Windows 10 was preinstalled on the computer and you have linked the Microsoft account, I would suggest you to sign in with the same Microsoft account and Windows should get activated automatically.

If you still face issues, the best point of contact will be the Phone activation team by calling them and they will help you with the issue. Please refer the article Global Customer Service phone numbers to get the Customer support number as per your country.

    Regards,
