That's amazing. More often than not, DISM & SFC are a bit of a disappointment. It is their sole purpose to repair system files, but they fail too often. Now my faith has been restored.

You are welcome, & thank you for the report. Good going to stick with it.

    Hi,

please run sfc /scannow command. And tell us the result,

    it should repair system files.

If this will not help than repair system files by

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

command from Windows PowerShell (administrator) environment.

Thank you. Done that and this time the 'restore operation ran successfully. The operation completed successfully'.

However I am still getting this message:

c:\Windows\System32\msv1_0.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.  Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0x0000006.

You must include a space before each slash & spell "cleanup" right...

    DISM  /Online  /Cleanup-Image  /RestoreHealth

Here is mine - a legit Windows file for 1903...

The scannow was all fine, did not throw up any errors.

Ran DISM.exe - came up with the following:

    Image versions: 10.0.18362.449

    Error 87

    The clean-image option is unknown
