No sound coming from TV when mirroring laptop

I am projecting my laptop wirelessly to my Samsung UE486400K TV and it all works perfecly except for the sound. It always plays from the computer.

I updated the sound drivers and I set "Digital Output()" as the default playback device in "Sound", and I still get the sound from my laptop.

What should I do?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi again Roman,

I did exactly that to no avail. Actually, what I find weird is that the playback device is called "Digital Output ()", with the "()" including nothing inside. Sometimes, when I select that device, the sound comes from the laptop, but often it does not come from anywhere at all.

I think I have done all I could to try to make it work. I used to be able to mirror this very same laptop with picture/sound on my old TV (also Samsung) and I never had any problems.

    Thanks again, though.

I just tested on my device (Samsung 7 Series) and it all worked, what I noticed was, that there is a selection when you click on the audio output in the taskbar (the speaker icon). here I was able to select the current output (digital and for me it was realtek)

did you check the settings there too?

    best regards,

    Roman

    Hi Roman,

Yes, I did, as I explained in the second paragraph of my first post. Setting "Digital Output ()" as the default device does not solve the problem.

    Thanks.
