Hi Paul. I'm Greg, an installation specialist, 10 year Windows MVP, and Volunteer Moderator here to help you.

The option is not available in all model PC's.

For Asus battery limiting see here:

    https://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1032726/

Lenovo has removed it. See here:

    https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-11e-Windo...

    For Surface see here:

    https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-disable-b...

If your PC doesn't have the battery limiting feature, there are still some options here:

    https://windowsreport.com/software-stop-battery...

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

What brand and model of laptop do you have?

Many manufacturers will have support software that will allow you to adjust the upper limit for stopping charging as well as a lower limit for starting charging. In some cases it might be in the BIOS. I have a Dell laptop that allows that.
