On screen keyboard on dual monitors

Hi there,

Is there a way to disable on screen keyboard on non touch screen monitor. The laptop opens up the on screen keyboard but the monitor with non touch screen also opens the same onscreen keyboard. Is it possible to open the on screen keyboard on only the touch screen for typing on the non touch screen monitor.

Thanks

Thanks, I think there should be some kind of adjustment for the keyboard because it always pops up in extended screen at the first instance. And without detaching it's better because its more convenient to use it that way !!

In the upper left of the touch keyboard there is a keyboard icon with a gear on it.  This is settings, in the second row there are two screen icons, full screen keyboard, and a smaller keyboard.  Clicking on the smaller one allows you to move the touch keyboard any where you want it with your mouse.

You then can drag it to the left and onto your touch screen.

Thanks for reply, I extend my monitor. But I'm not able to put it on the primary monitor which is the touch screen. The keyboard pops in the extended monitor that does not have the touch screen. I am not able to find a setting that would disable the keyboard on non touch screen monitors.

Your problem is not that it pops up but where it pops up.

If you are duplicating the monitors it will pop up on both.

If you are extending you may be able to have it just open on the primary monitor.

    thanks for replying

It's the touch keyboard that has the icon on the taskbar. It pops up automatically on the screen when I click on the icon. It does the same on the dual monitor which is non touch screen. It just pops up from the taskbar icon.
