Configuring RAID 1 on Windows 10

I have read that Win 10 has the software to run a RAID 1 without a controller but it wasn't an option in Disk Management on my Windows 10 Home edition. Is this only a Win 10 Pro feature? If I buy an upgrade  to convert my Home edition to Pro will 'mirroring' capability be part of the upgrade package? I am not looking to use Storage Spaces.

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand your query related to using RAID 1 on Windows 10.

Ideally, when you upgrade to Windows 10 Pro you should be able to configure RAID on your PC. However, if you are using an Intel chipset then you may need to install Intel storage control drivers

We do have a dedicate forum, where you should be able to find support for your query. Let me help you in pointing towards the right direction, I would suggest you to post your query on TechNet forums, where we have support professionals with expertise on RAID setup to assist you with your query.

    Regards,
