Security Intelligence Update won't install

Security Intelligence Update for Windows Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.301.783.0)

It tries to install this specific update over and over again, but quits before it can be installed. So it goes "Downloading - 0%", and finishes that just fine. But then it gets to "Installing - 0%" and stays there for about a second and then quits trying, instead going back to the "You're up to date" screen. BUT IT'S NOT because this happens EVERY time I turn my computer on. Where do I go to manually download this thing so it stops checking? Because it's driving me nuts.

    Hi

run through the guided walk through troubleshooter first, to see if that solves the issue.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/10164/...

if it still will not install

you can get the latest security intelligence update from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/defenderup...

you will only need the top one in the list (Windows Defender Antivirus for Windows 10)

    Hi,

Run through a car wash to see if that solves the issue.

If it still will not install

you can get the latest version of Linux in any one of dozens of flavors that will actually work flawlessly. You will only need an affordable laptop or desktop with just about any decent hardware setup.

    Kindest regards,

    Linus Gates

Wow! This did nothing. I ran it within the GUI and nothing happened. So I went to a command prompt with administrator privilege and typed it in, hit enter. Even more nothing.  I might add that this was the fifth time I have run this tool with no success. I am reminded that the definition of insanity is to run Windows and expect something to work.

Alas, the futures market will have to do without me until I can find a brokerage that runs a Linux based trading platform.

I have been experiencing a similar issue in ADR for EndPoint Protection SCCM deployments all week long.

The Security Intelligence Update for Windows Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.303.837.0) fails with error 0X87D00668 (Software update still detected as actionable after apply) every day on about half of our Win 10 v1809 x64 Dell clients.

The same behavior is repeated daily.

Any help would be much appreciated!
