Headphones not playing stereo sound

Hi, recently my headphones broke and I bought a pair of headphones (JBL Live 650btnc) and when I am playing games like csgo, rainbow six siege etc it doesn't have left and right stereo and combines it into one channel. I have done research and I can't seem to find anything to fix it, some people said mono audio can be a big part but I turned it off in my settings and it was never the issue.

videos like this, the left stereo works but not the right and it can become quite annoying when I am playing. I was thinking it could be the cable I am using. The cable I am using is a 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable between my headphones to my computer. When I use Bluetooth on these headphones, it works fine and correctly distinguishes the right and left stereo without combining it. When I go onto my laptop and I use the cable, it does the same thing on my pc, but when I use bluetooth on my laptop it is fine. So if it is a cable problem, could someone potentially give me an idea of what sort of cable I would need to fix it.

I am hoping someone could help me with this as it could save me $100 as I won't need to buy another pair of headphones. I thought it had something to do with my pc as it only happens on my pc.

Thankyou,

Hello Madnxss, my name is Farah and I'm an Independent Adviser. I can help you regarding this problem

right click on the sound icon on taskbar and then click open volume mixer.

Choose the Speaker and click on it, you'll see the speaker properties window. You can see the second tab "Levels" and check if the balance is equal.

Then go to Enhancements and disable all sound effects.

Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved

    Cheers!

    Farah

I have the same problem too, but I found something. If I plug in my headphone by first front panel it's mono, but if i connect it from the rear, it's stereo from then. I can just plug in the rear only if i am at home, but usually I'm at the cyber to play games so i can't plug in the rear. Hope you can fix it soon.

Hi Farah, thanks for your help. Unfortunately, it didn't fix the problem. Would it possibly have something to do with the cable do you think? Or is it a technical issue with the software settings.

I'm having the exact same issue and I'm about to just toss these back in the box and take them back to Best Buy. Utterly ridiculous.

If the device is working properly as Bluetooth, then it could be either the cable or the driver.

My advice is, see if the manufacture has a newer driver or software and try installing it,

Also check the cable , try to bend it and see if it changes, try another USB jack also.

If nothing works, you may have to get another cable

    Cheers!
