what is the Microsoft equivalent of apple QuickTime?

I'm trying to use a Gov PowerPoint the  uses "QuickTime" what Microsoft app can I use in place of QuickTime?

    You might be able to play QuickTime video (*.mov) in the free VLC media player.

    Apple no longer supports QuickTime for Windows, it has unpatched vulnerabilities and it's considered no longer safe to use on Windows : https://www.groovypost.com/news/apple-quicktime...

    You can find versions of Quicktime for Windows that are now multiple years old on the Apple website, they might work on Windows 10 but it's at your own risk.
