How do I turn on "Voice Search" for Google Chrome in Windows 10? I do not want to use Cortana.

Voice Search functions properly on my laptop, Windows 10, but not on Desktop.  It's blocked on Desktop and when I try to enable it I get notice that no Microphone available.  Desktop microphone icon only says microphone is turned off.

    I'd like to know more about this issue. Please answer the questions below as they will help us determine what's going on:

    1. Do you have a mic or headset plugged in to the computer? If so, could you check if it's switched on?
    2. Have you set up Cortana to recognize voice?

    Also, please send a screenshot of the error message you got, if possible, so I can see what's happening.
