Have you tried running the game in compatibility mode?

To run this game in compatibility mode:

    1. Locate the *.exe file of the game then right click select Properties.
    2. Go to Compatibility tab, then check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode."
    3. Select the version of Windows to use for your game then click Apply then OK to save the change.

I tried running it in compatibility mode and selected Windows 8 as Operating System. It does not freezes entirely but do freeze at a time frame. Also, the variance is too high while playing and makes it unable to play so the issue stays there still!

    Hello JimitVaghela,

My name is Jin and I am an Independent Advisor. I can see that your Counter Strike from Steam keeps on freezing.

Here are some possible reasons why this is happening:

    1. Too many programs are running.

    -close other programs when playing.

    1. Your GPU/CPU is overheating.

-monitor your device normal temperature and GPU usage.

    1. Lack of virtual memory.

    -add more RAM

    1. The game has possibly have some corrupted files.

    -reinstall the game

    1. 3rd party anti-virus preventing the program to run properly.

-temporarily disable your anti-virus or switch to Windows Defender.

It's also advisable to check Steam forum as other players might be experiencing the same issue due to a bug.

I hope this would help you. Happy gaming!

    1. There are no programs installed in my laptop. So I doubt many programs running in background would cause that issue.
    2. Temperatures are normal. I have double checked it.
    3. I have two sticks of 8 GB 1600 Mhz of memory installed in the laptop. More than the recommended hardware required for the game.
    4. There are no corrupted files in the game, integrated the game files with the steam's in built checker.
    5. There is only Windows Defender in my laptop.

Tried everything I could to from the possible solutions posted in the Steam forums only to no avail.
