    Hello,

I had faced the similar issue. but you don't need to worry about it as it can be solved pretty easily.

This app comes from drivers of different mice. But still you can check if the file is a virus or not by uploading it to virus total. I found an easier solution to fix this issue. you can have a look if you want: https://10scopes.com/pximouse-tiltwheel-exe/

If it helps you then do let me know. Waiting for your feedback

    Best Regards,

    Steven Arends

If you go to Task Manager, and then the Startup tab, if you right click on pximouse , see if you can Disable it, otherwise you can Open file location and find out the location of this file. I would suggest NOT deleting it outright, as it may result in an error on startup. However, it may give you an idea what it is, based on the folder structure.

Let me know if this has helped, otherwise I will hope that another expert can help you out with this.

    Thank you!

    Hi there,

I am an independent advisor and a Microsoft user like you, and I would be happy to help you out with this.

This app seems to cause heavy CPU usage as you have reported. Some people have reported this software is from PixArt Imaging - possibly the sensor in your mouse if you had a specialized gaming mouse.

The following thread has a solution from DaveM, which involves disabling pximouse from starting up:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

Stopping it from running would likely help this high CPU usage.

I hope this has helped you. If this is not what you are looking for, please reply and let us know and we would be happy to look into providing some different suggestions!

    Regards,

    -Ashton
