I can not use messenger on my laptop as it does not recognize the camera and mic. I am in settings, privacy, camera but Messenger is not listed as one of the apps that can use my camera. I do not see how I can add that to the list. It's the same for microphone
I can only use Messenger on my cell phone to chat with camera.
Any suggestions to resolve my problem would be appreciated.

Hello NormaHumphries, my name is Paul one of the Community Experts. I do apologize that you are having an issue with your Messenger detecting your Camera and Mic. Just to be clear is this the MESSENGER APP for Facebook that you downloaded from MS Store?
Hello NormaHumphries, thanks for the response. Can we try to remove/uninstall the app first and after that try to download and install it again and if you are asked by the app for privacy settings like allowing the use of Microphone and Camera please make sure to hit the allow button.
yes, I downloaded from the MS Store and just checked to be sure.
