2020-03-11T14:30:12+00:00 Hello billjo2schellack,
I'm Jin, a fellow Windows 10 user and an independent advisor. I can see that you wish to change the IP address of your new modem.
- Open a web browser and enter the manufacturer's default IP address.
- Enter the credentials used to access your modem (typically located on the underside of your router or in the user manual.)
- Open the basic setup tab.
- Change one (or both) of the last two numbers in the IP address.
- Click Apply.
- The modem should restart to apply the changes.
I hope this helps.

2020-03-11T14:29:27+00:00 Normally, the modem would provide the IP address automatically for all PCs... so that you don't ever have to manually change the address on your PCs. However, if you have configured the PC to ignore this features (called DHCP), then yes... you will have to manually change them.
Somehow I doubt that's the case... because otherwise you'd already know how to change the IP address.
Is there anything else you can tell us about this problem?
