is it also not allowed to control a remote desktop through this Windows edition?
if that's really the case, then why do I have the remote desktop connection software at all!!!!
I'm just asking this as I'm trying to find the problem by elimination, since even my network admins couldn't advise until now.
The Windows Home edition cannot act as an RDP host. This function is treated as a value-added item in the professional version.
Any Windows PC can act as an RDP client.
You can use third party tools for remote control, e.g. TeamViewer or TightVNC.
