Windows 10 Pro upgrade on the Snapdragon 8CX in the samsung Galaxy Book S

Good Afternoon,

Long time Mac user recently converting to Windows again, I have a custom built Windows PC (128gb of ram, AMD 2950x 16 core processor, 2080ti GPU, 16TB of storage) that I run windows 10 pro on and video edit with. I recently bought the Samsung Galaxy Book S with the SnapDragon 8CX 8 core ARM based processor for use when I am not at home. I will use this Laptop mainly for emails, research, and I will need to use remote desktop for my primary profession (which is not video editing). I was reading somewhere that Windows offered a free upgrade to windows 10 pro for Arm based windows users and if not, can I upgrade to windows 10 pro (with the understanding that this 10 pro is not the same as the full windows 10 pro) and if I did upgrade, would I be able to access remote desktop. Thank you for reading my long winded question and any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi,

Remote desktop app supports ARM64 so you should be able to use it on ARM tablet. See

You may call Microsoft support - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/405170...

Unfortunately Windows 10 for ARM is not documented enough.

And when I try to upgrade to windows 10 pro, I constantly get a dialog box saying there was an error. I have made sure I have all updates installed, I made sure my correct payments are set up, and I am now googling the issue. I tried talking to windows support through the chat but the chat bot just kicks me to the  community and will not allow me to speak to actual support. Kind of makes me want to return all this windows **** and go back to Apple (costs more but just works when I need it to)

Thank you for the reply. the issue is my version of Windows 10 home does not support remote desktop and any time I try to open Remote desktop, remote desktop crashes and I get a dialog box that says my version of windows 10 home does not support remote desktop, you need to upgrade to windows 10 pro.
