I have two questions. The first - are there free versions of Windows 10 for people with disabilities and the second - what features in Windows 10 are available for the disabled?

Hi Kenny, my name is Martin and I'm an Independent Advisor. I'll try to help you here.

Windows 10 does not offer entirely free versions at all. However, you still can upgrade older licensed and activated Windows versions to Windows 10.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

    1. Download Tool now (you will download the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool)
    2. Open the download and accept the license terms
    3. Upgrade this PC now then click Next
    4. Keep personal files and apps
    5. Install (this takes some time and involves multiple restarts)
    6. Then open Settings > Windows Update > Activation to activate your Windows 10 digital license
    7. As an option, you can enter your genuine Windows 7/8/8.1 product key if you haven’t previously activated your old version of Windows

As for features for the disabled, I suggest that you refer to the article below where you can find various features that Microsoft offers:

    Assistive Technologies

Thank you for your interest in Windows 10. The free upgrade offer extension for Windows 7 and Windows 8 customers who use assistive technologies expired on December 31, 2017. As an alternative, Windows 10 software and devices are available for purchase from retail and online stores. In case you have other questions, we are providing some references to resources and frequently asked questions regarding assistive technologies and Windows 10 that might be of interest.

They actually kept it open until the 16-17th of Jan, 2018.

You may or may not still get 10 for free, but you first have to see if 10 is compatible with your device.

The free upgrade to Windows 10 offer from Microsoft expired on the 29th July, 2016.

You will have to contact MS support and they may be able to assist you with a free upgrade to 10..

First thing to do is to make sure that you have the correct system requirements and that your Computer Manufacturer supplies the correct Drivers for 10 for your Model Number.

If you read those Microsoft's system requirements for 10, you will find that if you only go on them you will be sadly disappointed in performance.

You should at least double what they say.

If you are  go the upgrade path to 10 at least make a system image backup for two reasons.

    1. Some people report they don't get the free upgrade and want to reinstall 7.
    2. If you don't do the system checks and 10 is incompatible with your device and it becomes inoperable.
